Indian Tales....

So this is a blog that I should have been updating since two weeks ago! The thing is the last two weeks have been an absolute whirlwind! From meeting fabulous people from all over, to being stranded in the middle of nowhere with a HUGE suitcase, to shitty accommodation, to seeing some of the most beautiful scenery and monuments in the world to mini strikes and riots (lol! Worldview interns)

I arrived in Delhi for an AIESEC internship on the twenty eight of June and in Chandigarh, India the following day. Presently I’m living and working with 10 other interns from Slovakia, UK, USA, Mauritius, China, Japan, Canada and the Netherlands. The project involves teaching children from the ages nine through to fifteen about culture, more importantly different cultures, helping them understand the world as well as world issues and finally helping them develop their personal skills. So far the children have been great and it is a great experience. It’s amazing how much you learn about people when working in a project like this, and even more amazing to experience teaching different children in different age groups and different circumstances. I’ve come to discover that teaching is ideally a vocation and is one of the most exhausting yet satisfying jobs. Today I had a new class and all the innocent children wanted my autograph, my email and phone number and they crowded to touch my hair and hug me! They are so precious, and they make every bit of the project worthwhile.
