sickness.....:(
You underestimate how necessary your voice is until you lose it! I haven't had mine for the last three days and boy does it SUCK!! whispering everything, trying to get someones attention when theyre walking off, using sign language and text messages to communicate in a club! lets just say its been an interesting bordering on frustrating last few days...the weather has been pretty horrid and raining all the time but that might just be the diseased & frustrated part of me talking!...Been off work till today so I'm looking forward to seeing my babies again albeit being voiceless.Yesterday was Madisons birthday and we had a small "surprise" party for her......n she walked in on the preparation n walked right out! lol! was nice all the same...
Travel plans for the weekend are leaning towards Shimla but with the weather that might not be such a great idea...
Last weekend was Amritsar....which was fantastic although the beginning was a wreck! The bus we went in was..in Devons words.."a remake of the arctic tundra!" The AC was so cold that there was precipitation in the bus. It began
ts amazing how such a BEAUTIFUL place of worship, dazzling monument and tourist attraction can have such chaos and filth as its immediate surroundings. You would think that it would be set in a sceninc location thats calming and inspiring....think again! The temple itself though is a marvel and so is the amount of dedication and effort that the followers of Sikhism put in keeping it that way.Later in the day we went to the Wagha border, the border between Pakistan and India, where the two countries (which have a tense relationship) try to out-cheer, out-march and out-dance each other during the border closing ceremony. Its a lot of fun and quite a healthy way to exercise the animosity! Silly politicians in Kenya should borrow a leaf..

Hope this weekend's just as much fun!
